Mr. Obinna Umeh is the Managing Partner, Dusso Integrated Services and Chief Training Officer/Chief Tutor, Geosciences (Seismic Data Acquisition, Processing, and Interpretation) technical and softwares applications training, Project Management and Business Development. He obtained his B.Sc degree in Geology in 1992 with second class honours upper division from University of Nigeria, Nsukka. He is an experienced geophysicist, project manager and business development expert with vast oil and industry wide experiences and exposures spanning over 20+ years across multinational (IOC, consultancy companies, Shell Nigeria and Westerngeco Schlumberger), national regulatory agency (IDSL, NNPC), indigenous marginal and independent field operator companies PetroScan Nigerian Limited (later PetroBase Group), Geomarine Systems Limited, Ankorpointe Integrated Limited and Verity Geosolutions limited). His industry acquired professional practical or hands-on experience include;
- Seismic data acquisition, processing, and interpretation)
- Exposure to latest technologies in Microsoft suite (word, excel, powerpoint, corel-draw, project, access, outlook)
-Geosciences computer systems unix, linux operating software application skills
- Business development (company products and services marketing, sales, negotiation, and persuasion skills)
- Clients, stakeholders, regulatory agencies relationship and management.
- Extensive project, personnel management, and LEAN application on projects.
- Extensive industry geosciences, HSE, business development, technical and commercial tender preparations and Nipex registration trainings both in Nigeria and abroad.
His passion has always been to transfer technical knowledge and expertise to the prospective next generation industry professionals having single handedly developed standardized job employment interview written, oral interviews (technical, HSE, HR and business development) formats and integrated field development technical training modules including workflows, processes, and methodologies. He is currently an onshore and offshore field operations consultant and had executed geophysical consultancy jobs for Geomarine Systems Limited, Geodetic Positioning services Limited, Brone Group, Trenchmark Service Limited and Seisspace Limited.
